# QuickBooks in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Meta Muse and Amazon Quick: What Works With QuickBooks Desktop (October 2026)

**Summary:** From November 2025 to October 2026, Intuit put QuickBooks into ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Google Gemini and Meta's Muse, and AWS added a QuickBooks connector to Amazon Quick. Each one signs in to a QuickBooks account in Intuit's cloud, and Intuit documents the ChatGPT and Claude connectors for QuickBooks Online. None mentions QuickBooks Desktop. Grok Bot, OpenClaw, Hermes Agent, Instinct and Microsoft Copilot have no QuickBooks connector from Intuit or their makers.

## The Short Answer

If you run QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise, none of these assistants can reach your company file today. Here is each official integration, what it does, and what its own documentation says about the edition.

## ChatGPT

Intuit struck [a deal worth more than $100 million](https://www.cnbc.com/2025/11/18/intuit-pays-openai-100-million-turbotax-integrates-chatgpt.html) with OpenAI in November 2025, putting QuickBooks, TurboTax, Credit Karma and Mailchimp inside ChatGPT. Intuit's help article is titled ['Connect QuickBooks Online to ChatGPT'](https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/help-article/mobile-and-apps/connect-quickbooks-online-chatgpt/L0RDe9RPd_US_en_US), and it says you need an active QuickBooks Online subscription; the plugin is available to QuickBooks Online customers in the US. On 28 July 2026 the plugin [moved beyond read-only access](https://quickbooks.intuit.com/r/news/quickbooks-expands-into-claude-and-chatgpt-with-new-features/): it can now create and send invoices and estimates, make payment links, answer payroll questions and show QuickBooks Capital loan benchmarks.

## Claude

Intuit and Anthropic [announced a multi-year partnership](https://investors.intuit.com/news-events/press-releases/detail/1305/intuit-and-anthropic-partner-to-bring-trusted-financial-intelligence-and-custom-ai-agents-to-consumers-and-businesses) on 24 February 2026. It brings QuickBooks into Claude, Cowork and Claude for Enterprise through MCP connectors, and lets mid-market businesses build custom Claude agents on the Intuit platform. [Intuit's help for the Claude connector](https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/help-article/accounting-bookkeeping/use-quickbooks-connector-claude/L3YBlo6Ht_US_en_US) asks for an active QuickBooks or Intuit Enterprise Suite subscription, lists only QuickBooks Online plans and Intuit Enterprise Suite, and says the transactions it creates appear in QuickBooks Online. It is available to US customers only for now.

## Perplexity

On 31 August 2026, [Intuit put QuickBooks and Mailchimp into Perplexity Computer](https://www.intuit.com/blog/innovative-thinking/tech-innovation/intuit-perplexity-partnership/) for US businesses, through MCP connectors. You can chase overdue invoices, set up recurring invoices, send payment links, and look up payslips and payroll information. Intuit's announcement doesn't name an edition: you sign in to your existing QuickBooks account, the same way as the ChatGPT and Claude connectors.

## Gemini

On 15 September 2026, [Google connected Gemini in Google Workspace to Intuit QuickBooks](https://workspaceupdates.googleblog.com/2026/09/connect-to-more-tools-with-gemini-in-Google-Workspace.html), along with Asana, HubSpot, Mailchimp, Monday, Salesforce and others, through MCP. It is on by default for users with Gemini for Google Workspace, and admins can turn it off. [The Marketplace listing](https://workspace.google.com/marketplace/app/intuit_quickbooks_connector/52180752255) calls it the official QuickBooks connector for customers in the US. Neither page names an edition or mentions QuickBooks Desktop.

## Meta Muse

[Meta launched Muse for Small Business](https://about.fb.com/news/2026/09/introducing-muse-small-business/) on 29 September 2026 with connectors that include Intuit QuickBooks, and [Intuit joined as a launch partner](https://www.intuit.com/blog/innovative-thinking/tech-innovation/intuit-quickbooks-joins-muse-for-small-business/). Through Muse you can review profit and loss, cash flow and your balance sheet, compare against industry peers, see your top customers and products, and send payment-enabled invoices and overdue reminders. Intuit's post doesn't name an edition either.

## Amazon Quick

[AWS built its own QuickBooks connector into Amazon Quick](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/quick/latest/userguide/quickbooks-integration.html). Its documentation says it gives access to QuickBooks Online and requires an active QuickBooks Online account. It can search records, create invoices, customers, vendors, bills, purchases and journal entries, and pull profit and loss and other reports.

## Intuit's QuickBooks MCP Server, for Developers

Separately, Intuit publishes an open-source [QuickBooks Online MCP server](https://github.com/intuit/quickbooks-online-mcp-server) for developers. It runs on your own machine, signs in to a QuickBooks Online company through an app you register with Intuit, and offers 145 tools across 29 record types and 11 reports. ## Assistants With No QuickBooks Connector

As of 21 October 2026 we found no QuickBooks connector from Intuit, or from the assistant's maker, for these:

- Grok and Grok Bot (xAI): Grok's connectors cover tools like SharePoint, Outlook, Google Workspace, Notion and GitHub, plus your own MCP servers. Grok Bot, launched on 11 August 2026, works inside apps from its own cloud computer, so it could use QuickBooks Online in a browser, but a Desktop company file on your own computer or server isn't on that machine.
- OpenClaw and Hermes Agent: open-source agents you host yourself. QuickBooks access comes from community skills and third-party MCP services, and those connect to QuickBooks Online.
- Instinct: an invite-only personal agent you text. We found no QuickBooks connection.
- Microsoft Copilot and Mistral Le Chat: no QuickBooks connector from Microsoft, Mistral or Intuit. Third-party services can bridge QuickBooks Online into Copilot Studio or Le Chat's custom connectors.
- Manus, Apple's Siri and DeepSeek: no QuickBooks integration found.

## Why None of Them Reaches QuickBooks Desktop

Every connector above signs in to a QuickBooks account in Intuit's cloud. A QuickBooks Desktop company file lives on your own computer or server, so there is nothing in Intuit's cloud for the connector to read or write. Software that works with QuickBooks Desktop connects to the machine where QuickBooks runs, through Intuit's SDK or [the QuickBooks Web Connector](https://logistify.ai/guides/quickbooks-desktop/quickbooks-web-connector-explained/).

## What QuickBooks Desktop Users Can Do Instead

- Analyze your own reports: export a QuickBooks Desktop report to Excel or CSV and analyze it in ChatGPT or Claude.
- Connect an assistant yourself: a third-party QuickBooks Desktop MCP server, running on the QuickBooks computer through Intuit's SDK or reaching it through the Web Connector, lets Claude or another assistant work with your company file.
- Hand off the order entry: Logistify is a managed service that reads customer purchase orders from email, PDF, Excel, EDI, WhatsApp and more, and enters sales orders and estimates in QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise through the Web Connector.
- Weigh a move: these connectors only arrive with QuickBooks Online or Intuit Enterprise Suite. QuickBooks Online now has sales orders on Plus, Advanced and Intuit Enterprise Suite.
