Is There an Official QuickBooks Desktop App in Microsoft Copilot?
No. We found no QuickBooks integration from Intuit for Microsoft Copilot when we checked on October 21, 2026, for any QuickBooks edition. Intuit's own assistant connectors are for ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Meta Muse and Amazon Quick, and none of them reaches a Desktop company file. Our comparison of QuickBooks AI connectors goes through each one.
A QuickBooks Desktop company file lives on your own Windows computer or server, and Logistify reaches it through the QuickBooks Web Connector, so nothing new is installed on the QuickBooks computer. Logistify for QuickBooks Desktop gives Microsoft Copilot that same connection.
What Can Microsoft Copilot Read and Change in QuickBooks Desktop?
Microsoft Copilot can read customers, inventory items and stock, sales orders, vendors, purchase orders, invoices, payments received and deposit accounts in a Desktop company file connected to Logistify. With your permission, it can create a sales order from your chat request and send it to QuickBooks, send a sales order already saved in Logistify, approve a purchase order date update, and approve a customer payment match. That's 18 tools: 14 read and 4 make changes. You ask in ordinary words and Microsoft Copilot picks the tool.

| Find QuickBooks inventory items | Reads | Inventory items and their stock quantities |

Questions to try in Microsoft Copilot

- Create an order for Acme: 20 of item 4410B, delivered next Friday.

- Show customer payments with a suggested invoice match, and approve the match for Acme's payment.

How Does Microsoft Copilot Make a Change in QuickBooks Desktop?
Only when the connection allows changes and you say yes. Logistify's connect page has an Allow changes box, unticked to start with. Unticked, Microsoft Copilot can read but can't change anything. Ticked, it can make the 4 changes in the table, and before each one it shows exactly what will change and waits for a clear yes.
For example, ask "Create an order for Acme: 20 of item 4410B, delivered next Friday." Microsoft Copilot finds the customer and items, reads the order back with prices and the delivery date, and waits for your yes. Logistify then creates the order through the same checks as its own screens, and Microsoft Copilot checks the result before telling you it's in QuickBooks Desktop. A customer or item that isn't already linked to QuickBooks Desktop in Logistify is refused, with the reason, and a retried request doesn't create a second order. The QuickBooks Desktop plugin page explains how prices are chosen.
How Do You Add Logistify for QuickBooks Desktop to Microsoft Copilot?
Microsoft 365 Copilot doesn't have a box where you paste a server address. It reaches an MCP server through a plugin package that names the server and how to sign in, deployed to your organization by an admin. Microsoft documents this in its guide to configuring remote MCP servers for Microsoft 365 Copilot plugins (checked November 8, 2026). Logistify prepares that package for you.
- 1Talk to us and ask for the Logistify for QuickBooks Desktop package for Microsoft 365 Copilot. It points to https://mcp.logistify.ai/quickbooks-desktop/mcp.
- 2Your Microsoft 365 admin uploads the package to your organization and approves it, the same way as other Microsoft 365 Copilot plugins.
- 3Each person opens Microsoft 365 Copilot, and the first time Copilot uses the plugin, they sign in with your Logistify login and choose your company.
- 4On Logistify's connect page, tick Allow changes if Copilot should be able to make the changes in the table above. Left unticked, Copilot can read but can't change anything.
Who Can Use It in Microsoft Copilot?
Microsoft 365 Copilot, used with a work account in your organization's Microsoft 365 tenant. Your Microsoft 365 admin deploys the plugin package Logistify sends.
On the Logistify side
- A Logistify plan. Starter, at $99 per month per company, includes the plugin without any managed service. Core, Business and Enterprise include it at no extra cost.
- A QuickBooks Desktop company file connected to Logistify through the QuickBooks Web Connector.
- QuickBooks open on the company's Windows computer while people use the plugin. QuickBooks data is read live from the file, and a change reaches the file only while QuickBooks is open.
- A company admin turns on Assistant Connectors in Logistify, under Settings, Features. This allows the company's QuickBooks data to be sent to Microsoft when its people use the plugin.
- For now, people with the Admin or Customer Success Manager role in Logistify can connect. Invoices and payments follow the Accounts Receivable access rules, and suppliers and purchase orders follow the purchasing ones.
What Is Shared With Microsoft, and How Do You Disconnect?
What Microsoft Copilot reads through the plugin is sent to Microsoft. Results leave out addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, notes, bank details, card details, custom fields and tax details. Each connection covers one company.
To disconnect, ask your Microsoft 365 admin to remove the plugin for your organization, or open the company in Logistify and press Disconnect under Settings, ChatGPT and Claude, Connected assistants. That list shows every assistant connected to the company. Removal takes effect on the next request, and an admin who turns off Assistant Connectors stops every connection. What we keep, and for how long, is in section 4 of our privacy policy.
What Doesn't the Plugin Do?
- It doesn't create or change any QuickBooks record beyond its four changes: no invoices, bills, items or customers, and no other edits or deletes.
- It doesn't guess. A customer or item that isn't already linked to QuickBooks in Logistify stops the order, and the assistant tells you why.
- It can't read QuickBooks data, or get a change into the company file, while QuickBooks is closed on the company's Windows computer.
- It isn't built for company-wide analysis across every record. For that, an exported report is still the better tool.
- It isn't listed in Microsoft's directory yet, so it's added as shown above.
Does Logistify for QuickBooks Desktop Work in Other Assistants?
Yes. It also works in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity, and in Claude Code and Codex. The QuickBooks Desktop plugin overview lists every tool and links to the setup for each assistant.
