Conexiom Alternatives for Small and Mid-Sized Distributors, Including QuickBooks Desktop (2026)

Who should choose which

If you run QuickBooks Desktop, Conexiom doesn't list it: QuickBooks isn't among the 40+ ERPs on its platform page. Logistify AI is built for manufacturers and distributors on QuickBooks Desktop, including Enterprise. It enters customer orders as sales orders in your company file, records customer payments against open invoices, and follows up with suppliers on open purchase orders, as a managed service with published prices. On other ERPs, stay with Conexiom if you run one it lists and have the order volume and staff to run it. Otherwise, look at WizCommerce for a wholesale sales platform, Y Meadows or Workist for software your team runs, or Canals for construction and industrial supply.

QuickBooks Desktop: the biggest difference

Many small and mid-sized manufacturers and distributors run QuickBooks Desktop, often Enterprise, for its sales orders, inventory assemblies, price levels and warehouse tracking. Conexiom's platform page lists more than 40 ERPs, from Epicor Prophet 21 to SAP and NetSuite, and QuickBooks isn't one of them. Logistify was built for this group. It connects to your company file through the QuickBooks Web Connector, which ships with QuickBooks Desktop, so you keep QuickBooks Desktop and add the automation instead of moving to a new ERP first. If you're weighing that move anyway, see QuickBooks Desktop vs QuickBooks Online for Manufacturers and Distributors.

What Conexiom does well

Conexiom is one of the longest-running names in order automation for manufacturers and distributors. Its Relay platform turns customer orders, RFQs, supplier order acknowledgements and invoices into ERP-ready data. Conexiom says it lists 40+ ERPs with pre-built integrations and implements in 30 days on average. For high-volume trading partners it maps each customer's documents with smart templates. For everyone else it uses AI with a person reviewing the results.

Why smaller distributors look at alternatives

  • QuickBooks Desktop: QuickBooks isn't on the ERP list on Conexiom's platform page, and neither are Unleashed or Brightpearl. Many small and mid-sized manufacturers and distributors run one of them.
  • Price: Conexiom doesn't publish prices, so cost only comes out in a sales conversation.
  • Who does the work: Conexiom is software. Your team reviews the orders it can't finish and maintains the rules it follows.
  • Volume: Conexiom's own help says its template approach pays off for customers who order often. Infrequent customers go through its AI option, which needs someone to review and approve the orders.

Questions to ask before you switch

  • Is your ERP, and your edition of it, on the vendor's own integration list? Does the tool create sales orders, or only extract data for someone to key in?
  • How do your customers send orders today? Emailed PDFs, spreadsheets, WhatsApp, text messages and voicemail each need different handling.
  • Who handles the orders the tool can't finish: your team inside the vendor's software, or the vendor?
  • Will your customers have to order through a new portal, or can they keep ordering the way they do now?
  • What does it cost at your volume, and is there a minimum contract term?

Logistify AI: built for QuickBooks Desktop manufacturers and distributors

Logistify is a managed service built for manufacturers and distributors on QuickBooks Desktop, including Enterprise. It reads orders from email (the message and PDF, Word, Excel or CSV attachments), scans and photos, WhatsApp messages and photos, SMS and voicemail, and enters them as sales orders in QuickBooks Desktop, or in Unleashed, Brightpearl or your ERP. On QuickBooks Desktop the same service also records customer payments against open invoices and follows up with suppliers on open purchase orders. Orders with no open question go into the ERP automatically. An order waits for your team, with the reason, when Logistify can't match a product, a price doesn't add up, or a quantity is far from what that customer usually orders.

Prices are published. Core is $499 a month billed annually or $599 month to month, and covers about 25 orders a day taken in by email. Business is $999 or $1,199 a month, covers about 70 a day and adds WhatsApp. Other channels come with Enterprise. A 30-day pilot on one workflow costs $1,000, credited if you sign an annual plan within 14 days. What it doesn't do: it doesn't read EDI or fax, and on QuickBooks Desktop it doesn't set price levels, inventory sites, or lot or serial numbers on the sales order. Best for: a manufacturer or distributor on QuickBooks Desktop, or on Unleashed or Brightpearl, whose customers order by email, text or WhatsApp and who wants the work done rather than another tool to run.

WizCommerce: order entry inside a wholesale sales platform

WizCommerce sells a B2B sales platform for wholesalers, with a buyer portal, a sales rep app for trade shows and the road, and an AI order entry assistant that reads emails, PDFs, spreadsheets, scans, voice notes and handwritten orders. Its QuickBooks Desktop integration pushes orders as sales orders and syncs price levels, inventory and customers. WizCommerce quotes subscriptions typically from about $500 a month. Best for: a wholesaler that also wants a B2B ordering portal and rep app, not only order entry.

Y Meadows: AI order entry software with usage-based pricing

Y Meadows reads orders from inboxes, customer portals and shared drives, including PDFs, Excel files, images and handwriting. It checks them against your pricing and business rules, sends exceptions to your team, and enters clean orders in the ERP. It lists Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle, Epicor, Infor, QuickBooks, NetSuite and Sage, and can turn PDF orders into EDI for companies that already run EDI. It charges a monthly subscription based on usage, not per order, and says standard implementations take about 30 days. Best for: a mid-sized distributor that wants software its own team runs, with the vendor setting it up.

Workist: AI order entry with a long ERP list

Workist, based in Germany, reads orders and requests for quotation from PDF, email, spreadsheets, Word files and scans, checks them against your master data, and creates them in the ERP. It lists more than 40 ERPs, including SAP, Dynamics 365 Business Central, Sage 100 and 200, NetSuite, Odoo and QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise. Pricing is an annual subscription with a 12-month minimum. The entry package includes 10,000 documents a year and three users, and prices are on request. Best for: a manufacturer or distributor on one of its listed ERPs that wants quotes and orders handled in one tool.

Canals: built for construction and industrial supply

Canals focuses on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, industrial and building materials distributors. It turns customer requests, including handwritten notes, takeoffs, PDFs, emails, spreadsheets and voicemails, into quotes or orders for a rep to approve. It also processes supplier invoices and checks order acknowledgements against your purchase orders. It lists Epicor Prophet 21 and Eclipse, several Infor systems, Acumatica, NetSuite, Dynamics 365 and SAP S/4HANA, but not QuickBooks. Best for: a construction or industrial supply distributor on one of those ERPs.

When Conexiom is still the right choice

If you run Epicor Prophet 21, Eclipse, SAP, Infor or another ERP Conexiom lists, process a high volume of orders from repeat customers, and want one vendor for customer orders, supplier acknowledgements and invoices, Conexiom remains a strong fit. Larger companies that also take orders through EDI, customer portals and punchout should look at Esker as well.

Who should choose which

  • Manufacturer or distributor on QuickBooks Desktop, including Enterprise, who wants orders entered, payments matched and suppliers followed up without running new software: Logistify AI. The same goes for Unleashed and Brightpearl.
  • You also want a B2B ordering portal and a sales rep app: WizCommerce.
  • Mid-sized, on Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, Infor or Epicor, and you want software your own team runs: Y Meadows or Workist.
  • Construction or industrial supply on Prophet 21, Eclipse or Infor: Canals.
  • High volume on a Conexiom-listed ERP, with supplier documents in scope too: stay with Conexiom.
