How Much Does QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise Cost? 2026 Pricing Explained
Who should choose which
When we checked on October 19, 2026, Intuit listed Gold from $2,210 a year, Platinum from $2,717 a year and Diamond from $447 a month, each for one user. Prices rise with user count. Choose Platinum if you need inventory sites, FIFO costing or price rules: Advanced Inventory and Advanced Pricing start there. Choose Diamond for more than 30 users or Assisted Payroll. Cloud hosting costs extra, and Intuit quotes Intuit Enterprise Suite through sales.
Price by subscription level and users
| Users | Gold (annual) | Platinum (annual) | Diamond (monthly only) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | $2,210 a year | $2,717 a year | $447 a month |
| 5 | $5,507 a year | $6,040 a year | $748 a month |
| 10 | $8,525 a year | $9,080 a year | $980 a month |
| Up to 20 | Not in the online configurator | Not in the online configurator | $1,055 a month |
| Up to 30 | $12,229 a year | $12,787 a year | $1,288 a month |
| Up to 40 | Not available | Not available | $1,643 a month |
Each added user costs less than the first. On Gold, the second user added $1,011 a year and the third added $681. Above 10 users, the online configurator offers Gold and Platinum only as a 30-user tier.
Gold can also be paid monthly: $223 a month for one user, or $2,676 over 12 months. Diamond is sold only on a monthly plan. The buy page lists it at $447 a month for one user, which it also shows as $5,364 a year.
What each level adds
- Gold: the Desktop Enterprise software and 1 to 30 users with custom roles and permissions. It includes 200+ built-in reports, multi-company management, online backup and Priority Circle support. Enhanced Payroll costs up to $3 per employee a month.
- Platinum: everything in Gold, plus Advanced Inventory, Advanced Pricing, bill and purchase order approval workflows, and intercompany transactions.
- Diamond: everything in Platinum, plus up to 40 users and Assisted Payroll at $2.50 per employee per pay period. It also includes QuickBooks Time Elite, with a fee of $5 per employee a month.
- Silver: Intuit's pricing terms still name a Silver level, but neither the pricing page nor the buy page offers it.
Advanced Inventory, which starts at Platinum, adds inventory sites, bin locations and FIFO costing. See Advanced Inventory in QuickBooks Enterprise for what it does.
Cloud hosting add-on
| Hosting plan (Gold, one user) | Price | Storage | Apps in the hosted space |
|---|---|---|---|
| Core | $250 a month | 5GB | Key billing apps |
| Classic | $262 a month | 10GB | Billing, expense and reporting apps |
| Deluxe | $274 a month | 50GB | Those apps, plus 200+ more from Intuit's directory |
These prices cover Gold, Enhanced Payroll and hosting together. The hosting is a monthly subscription; the software part is an annual subscription paid monthly. For more than 10 hosted users, Intuit asks you to call sales for a price.
You can also host Enterprise on your own server with Remote Desktop Services. Microsoft server licenses are sold separately, and each hosted user needs a Remote Desktop access license.
Other costs to budget
- A license for each user. All copies of QuickBooks must be the same version year.
- Payroll fees per employee, on top of the subscription.
- Windows 11 computers. QuickBooks Desktop no longer supports Windows 10.
- A read/write ODBC driver, if read-only reporting isn't enough. Intuit says fees may apply.
- Annual plans commit you to 12 months. Cancel after the 60-day money-back period and you get no prorated refund.
How it compares with QuickBooks Online and Intuit Enterprise Suite
| Desktop Enterprise Gold | QuickBooks Online Advanced | Intuit Enterprise Suite | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Published price | $2,210 a year for one user | $340 a month list | Intuit quotes this through sales |
| Users | 1 to 30, priced by count | Up to 25 included | Set in your contract |
| Where it runs | Your computers, or Intuit's hosting for a fee | Intuit's cloud | Intuit's cloud |
Intuit doesn't publish an Intuit Enterprise Suite price. Its pricing page says Intuit builds a product bundle and contract for each customer. Customers who work with a ProAdvisor accountant can ask about ProAdvisor preferred pricing, which Intuit says can reach 60% off list. For existing Desktop customers, Intuit says data migration into Enterprise Suite is free for a limited time.
QuickBooks Online Plus listed at $140 a month for 5 users. When we checked on October 19, 2026, Intuit was offering 50% off Online plans for three months. Online Plus and Advanced don't have assemblies or price levels, so compare features before price. See QuickBooks Desktop vs QuickBooks Online for manufacturers and distributors.
