Billtrust Alternatives for Small and Mid-Sized Distributors, Including QuickBooks Desktop (2026)

Who should choose which

If you run QuickBooks Desktop, Billtrust doesn't list it: its 40+ ERP connectors are mid-market and enterprise systems such as Infor, SAP, Oracle, Epicor, DMSi and Mincron, and it targets B2B companies with $10M+ in revenue. Logistify AI matches customer payments from your bank file and records them in QuickBooks Desktop or Brightpearl, from $499 a month. For a full receivables suite on an ERP, compare Versapay and HighRadius; for collection reminders on QuickBooks Online, Chaser or Upflow.

QuickBooks Desktop: the biggest difference

Billtrust's integrations page shows its ERP connectors as logos: Infor, SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Epicor, DMSi, Mincron and others. QuickBooks isn't among them, and Billtrust says it serves B2B companies with $10M+ in revenue and mid-to-high invoice volumes. Versapay doesn't list QuickBooks either, HighRadius supports QuickBooks Online and Intuit Enterprise Suite only, and Chaser and Upflow connect to QuickBooks Online. Logistify reads open invoices from QuickBooks Desktop, including Enterprise, through the QuickBooks Web Connector, matches the payments in your bank file to them, and records each one as a Receive Payment. In Brightpearl it records a customer payment against each sales order. Logistify covers cash application, not collections: it doesn't send reminders, read remittance emails or connect to your bank directly yet.

What Billtrust does well

Billtrust runs invoicing, payments, credit, collections and cash application as one platform. It delivers invoices to 260+ AP portals, accepts payments as a payment facilitator with a Digital Lockbox for emailed virtual cards, and reads ACH, wire, card, check and AP portal payments through direct connections to 200+ banks and lockboxes. Its home page claims 95%+ match rates. It has dedicated pages for manufacturing and distribution.

Why smaller distributors look at alternatives

  • QuickBooks isn't among Billtrust's ERP connectors.
  • Billtrust is built for companies with $10M+ in revenue and mid-to-high invoice volumes.
  • Prices aren't published: Billtrust tailors them to the modules, transaction volume and service level you choose.
  • Many distributors need only cash application, not invoicing, payments, credit and collections in one platform.

Logistify AI: cash application for QuickBooks Desktop and Brightpearl

Logistify is a managed service. You upload the bank export you already download, and Logistify matches each customer payment to the open invoices it pays and records it in your accounting system. Short payments, overpayments and unclear payers wait for your team with a reason and a suggested match. Prices are published, and a 30-day pilot runs on your own bank files.

Versapay and HighRadius: full receivables suites on an ERP

Versapay pairs cash application with invoicing, a customer payment portal and card and ACH processing, with pre-built connectors for NetSuite, Dynamics 365 and Sage Intacct. HighRadius sells credit, collections, cash application, deductions and invoicing modules for mid-market and enterprise companies on 50+ ERPs. Neither lists QuickBooks Desktop. We compare each with Logistify in Versapay vs Logistify AI and HighRadius vs Logistify AI.

Chaser and Upflow: collection reminders on QuickBooks Online

If the work you want to automate is chasing overdue invoices rather than matching payments, Chaser and Upflow send reminders by email, SMS, calls and letters and give customers a payment portal. Both connect to QuickBooks Online. Chaser publishes prices from $259 a month and offers CSV import or an API for other systems. Upflow quotes every paid plan, and its cash application works on NetSuite and Sage Intacct only.

When Billtrust is still the right choice

If you have $10M+ in revenue, run an ERP Billtrust connects to, such as Infor, Epicor, DMSi or Mincron, and want invoicing, payment acceptance, credit, collections and cash application from one vendor, Billtrust is built for that.

How to try Logistify

  1. 1Export a recent bank file and an open invoices report.
  2. 2Logistify reads your open invoices from QuickBooks Desktop or Brightpearl and matches each payment in the bank file, in Prepare only mode, so nothing is recorded without approval.
  3. 3Compare the suggested matches with what your team recorded, line by line.
  4. 4Switch on Automatic only after 50 approved matches in a row and a manager's sign-off, with limits on payment size and daily count.

Who should choose which

  • $10M+ in revenue, on an ERP Billtrust connects to, wanting invoicing, payments, credit, collections and cash application together: Billtrust.
  • On NetSuite, Dynamics or Sage Intacct and wanting a customer payment portal with cash application: Versapay.
  • Mid-market or enterprise on SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or Dynamics with deduction-heavy customers: HighRadius.
  • On QuickBooks Online and mainly needing collection reminders: Chaser or Upflow.
  • Manufacturer or distributor on QuickBooks Desktop or Brightpearl that wants payments matched and recorded for it: Logistify AI.
