Does Intuit Enterprise Suite Have an API?

Short answer
Yes, Intuit Enterprise Suite has an API, but it's the QuickBooks Online APIs rather than a separate one. Intuit's developer docs say you build IES apps with the QuickBooks Online Accounting, QuickBooks Payments and QuickBooks Workforce APIs, and existing QuickBooks Online apps work for IES customers with no changes. Some IES features, including intercompany transactions, aren't supported through the API yet, and each entity is connected separately. Intuit plans new APIs for IES-only features.
Before you start
- An Intuit Developer account. Intuit's get-started page for Intuit Enterprise Suite starts with setting up your account and developer environment.
- Some Intuit Enterprise Suite features aren't supported through the API yet. The FAQ names intercompany transactions; the developer pages don't list the others.
- If you already have a QuickBooks Online app, Intuit says you don't need to create a new app or make any changes for IES customers.
Step 1: Build with the QuickBooks Online APIs
- 1Use the QuickBooks Online Accounting, QuickBooks Payments and QuickBooks Workforce APIs to build your IES app.
- 2Build one app for both QuickBooks Online and Intuit Enterprise Suite. Intuit says you don't need two.
Intuit's get-started page lists four steps: Create and start developing your app, Use dimensions in your app, Test your app, and Publish and list. Its FAQ says Intuit plans to introduce new APIs for features exclusive to Intuit Enterprise Suite in the future. It gives no date.
Step 2: Connect each entity separately
- 1Have the customer connect your app to each of their entities individually.
- 2Post transactions to each entity separately. The APIs can't post across several entities in one request.
- 3Don't change the admin user who originally connected the app.
Step 3: Test in an Intuit Enterprise Suite sandbox
- 1Create single-entity Intuit Enterprise Suite sandboxes for testing. You can have more than one.
- 2Keep your total sandboxes, across Advanced, Plus and Intuit Enterprise Suite, at 10 or fewer.
Step 4: Publish and list your app
- 1Publish and list your app on the QuickBooks App Store so both QuickBooks Online and IES customers can find it.
- 2Select the right categories so customers can find your app easily.

Intuit's Fall 2026 release notes, dated 26 October 2026, say Intuit Enterprise Suite comes with 800+ integrations across 20 industries. The developer FAQ adds that third-party apps a QuickBooks Online customer already uses keep working after the move to IES. Intuit's own Claude connector also works with IES: its help article, updated 28 October 2026, says Claude can use live Intuit Enterprise Suite data in the US.

How Logistify helps
Logistify is a managed service, not a connector or app, so there's nothing for your team to build. Its Sales Order Service enters customer orders into Intuit Enterprise Suite as sales orders, and a person reviews exceptions. The Accounts Receivable Service matches payments from your bank file to open IES invoices, and the Procurement Service follows up with suppliers on open IES purchase orders. For AI assistants that work with IES, see whether you can use Claude or ChatGPT with Intuit Enterprise Suite.
