Is There an Official Unleashed MCP Server?

Applies to
Unleashed Lite, Core and Pro
Steps checked against
Unleashed Help Centre articles, Unleashed's API documentation and US pricing page, and the Access Evo Help Centre, checked 23 October 2026

Short answer

Is there an official Unleashed MCP server? No. On 23 October 2026, Unleashed's help centre and website didn't list one, and a help centre search for "MCP" returned no articles. What Unleashed offers instead is its REST API. It takes JSON or XML, uses an API ID and Key that only the Account Owner can see, and allows 250,000 calls a month on Core and 500,000 on Pro (125,000 on Lite, a plan listed only on Unleashed's US pricing page).

Before you start

  • MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is an open standard for connecting AI apps to tools and data. An MCP server gives an assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT a set of tools it can call.
  • Unleashed hasn't published one. Its help centre, its Integrations collection and its integrations page on unleashedsoftware.com list native and third-party integrations, but no MCP server (checked 23 October 2026).
  • Don't confuse Unleashed with Unleash. Unleash is a feature-flag product from a different company, and its MCP server manages feature flags, not inventory.
  • The Access Evo Help Centre describes MCP inside Evo itself: on the Evo Agentic plan, Evo's own Chat can connect to custom MCP servers, and Assistants Builder connects agents to tools through MCP. That is Evo using MCP, not an MCP server that lets ChatGPT or Claude reach Unleashed, and Unleashed's help centre doesn't mention it.

What the Unleashed API offers instead

  • A REST API linked to the Unleashed web application. It accepts JSON and XML.
  • Endpoints for records such as sales orders and stock on hand. Unleashed says the API is a subset of what the application can do, so check the documentation for each task.
  • A Sandbox account for testing, so development doesn't touch your live data.
  • Webhook events initiated by Unleashed, which don't count toward your API limit.
  • A monthly allowance of 250,000 calls on Core and 500,000 on Pro, with one optional Extra API Bundle of the same size. Unleashed's US pricing page lists 125,000 calls on Lite, a plan listed only there.

Step 1: Find the API credentials

  1. 1Log in to Unleashed as the Account Owner.
  2. 2Go to Integration > Unleashed API Access.
  3. 3Copy the API ID and Key. Only the Account Owner can see them, and they can't be changed or refreshed.

Step 2: Build and test against a Sandbox account

  1. 1Use a Sandbox account while the integration is in development. Each Sandbox has its own API ID and Key.
  2. 2Send the five required HTTP headers on every request: Content-Type, Accept, api-auth-id, api-auth-signature and client-type.
  3. 3Generate a new api-auth-signature for every request. A 403 error means the signature is wrong or doesn't match the account's API ID and Key.
  4. 4Send every field on updates. The API doesn't support partial updates, and fields you leave out are overwritten with blank values.
  5. 5Queue requests so they can be retried after a network failure, as Unleashed's API documentation advises.

Step 3: Watch the monthly API limit

  1. 1Check the bar chart on the Unleashed API Access page, which shows calls per month for the last 12 months.
  2. 2Expect emails at 90%, 95% and 100% of the limit. At 100%, all API requests are blocked until the limit resets.
  3. 3The limit resets on the 1st of each calendar month at 12:00 AM UTC.
  4. 4To add capacity, go to Settings > Billing, select Modify next to Products, and add the Extra API Bundle. You can add only one.

An AI assistant calling tools can use many API calls for one question. Our guide to Unleashed API access and limits covers the allowance in more detail.

If you're considering a third-party MCP server

  • Unofficial MCP servers for Unleashed exist. For example, SyncHub publishes a page for one. They are not from Unleashed, we haven't tested them, and we don't recommend any.
  • Any of them needs your API ID and Key. Unleashed can't block a third-party connection once the credentials are shared, and the credentials can't be refreshed.
  • Unleashed doesn't keep a log of API connections, so ask the provider how it logs requests.
  • If a server can write, check how it handles the full-field update rule before you let an assistant change records.

For each AI assistant's directory and what we found there, see the table in our guide on whether ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Copilot can connect to Unleashed.

Where Unleashed leaves the work to you

  • There's no official MCP server, so you or a developer would build, host and maintain one.
  • Unleashed support answers questions about how the product works but doesn't write, review or debug code.
  • You track API usage and work with integration providers if calls run high.
  • For questions in plain English without building anything, Unleashed's option is Evo Copilot inside Access Evo, which is read-only.

Where Logistify fits

Logistify is not an MCP server, connector or plugin, and it doesn't give ChatGPT or Claude access to Unleashed. It is a managed service that uses AI to enter customer orders into Unleashed as sales orders and create sales quotes for quote requests, with a person reviewing exceptions. See how it handles Unleashed orders, quotes and email replies.
